....just PUR...

Sorry,  I have not that much time to care about BLIP today....
..very busy working day with a great final in the Conlog Arena in Koblenz.
a concert of the german band PUR, not my favorite at all but they know how to involve the audience.... I'm pretty sure they are not known beyond the german borders....

one of my favourite songs is this one (here a version with a guest singer)

When She Hears This Tango

She is sitten on her old couch
Which comes from the time of the economic miracle
Two birthday cards on the table
Dallas is over since a while
All the best for the sixty-first birthday,
Dear Granny, bye for now
The kids are big now and away from the home
The flat is often cold.
She's got always something to do
She portions the housework
And every evening she relaxes
And switches the TV on
It has not always been this way
Just since she is alone
Since her husband died
Whom she misses with teary eyes
She liked so much to dance with him
And sometimes, when it hurts too much
She plays the old favourite record
And dances for herself alone
When she hears this old tango
She forgets the time
How she lives now is far, far away
Like a star that burned down long ago
Chased away and expelled from her native place
After Hitler's grand war
She paid a lot for the German dream of victory
Then the long and hard rebuilding
For a little happiness
The longed for owner-occupied story
Children for the republic
They shall have it better one day
That is why she worked painstakingly
So often there was not much time left
To spend time with her husband
A whole life together
Suffered, drudged, economised
Now there was time for more at last
Now he is not here anymore
