Connections Art and design exhibition, David

A very busy evening starting with an early dinner as Mike was off to the Academy to Give Blood.
Julie picked me up with my bags full of ducks to meet the Brownies for our walk up the Fairy Glen. A wonderful sunny and warm evening but very muddy underfoot which the girls loved.
Three Promises were made in front of the pond around my little toadstool from the garden. Our usual toadstool is a bit big to carry all the way there and back.
A small tea party to celebrate Senior Sections ( Rangers) 100 years and then the duck race. The girls had named and decorated their ducks with permanent markers, popped them in a bag ready for the Big Launch. We carefully chose a safe location, away from the mini waterfall and logs and off they went. 18 little yellow ducks bobbing their way along the burn accompanied by squeals of delight and dismay as ducks went into the lead or became stuck in mini whirlpools or stopped by twigs and leaves.
We could have spent hours there just popping them back in to do race after race but we had to get back to the carpark for pick up time. 15 muddy Brownies and one rather wet one were sent home still full of energy ! Great to be outside !
Quick turn around at home and off to see David and the other exhibitors at the art exhibition in Inverness. Lovely to see Davids work on display. A lot of hardwork has gone into all of his pieces. I've put a few examples in the extras.
Scampi and chips watching the sun go down at Merkinch and then home.
