Here We Go Again . . .

Curving double lines
Flowing over the paper
I can do this now

Term Two is under way and the little artists are starting new projects.  This is Shayden who is practicing Kowhaiwhai patterns.  This is the starting point for a pen and dye drawing showing our local landscape.  The children will have to include patterns in their picture and I want these patterns to be inspired by the Maori Kowhaiwhai and tukuktuku patterns.  Kowhaiwhai use flowing lines and tukutuku use straight lines.
