Happy Days

The new car arrived today. Happy days compared with 30th January. Quite amazed by the quality of the online service and the price compared with visiting our local dealership. We will admit that we were very wary of buying a car on the internet from an organisation in Warrington. So had been lots of other people who took the plunge and did it this way But, according to the reviews the outcomes were always postive. I know, I know about reviews but in this case they were right.

Ordered the car online, paid a depsoit, were contacted a week before delivery to agree a date, transferred the cash, car turned up on the driveway having been delivered from a Skoda dealer in Preston! How can that work? How can the broker and the dealer make a profit with a car that was 20% cheaper than the deal offered by my local dealer?

We now have to get to grips with an owners manual which covered all models and is a translation, bad in parts, from another language. We're wondering now whether to fit a dash cam to record journeys and help avoid another front end shunt which caused the write-off of the old Skoda.

It was a challenge deciding which shot to blip today. The car was the obvious choice but it was hard pushed by a snail crawling around a red Post Office letter box. A fine example of snail mail if ever there was one!
