Mist Covered Mountains

The Limestone Karsts of the Guilin area. Fantastical crazy shapes rearing up out of the mist and rain.
A torrential downpour meant that taking photos was not easy with rain blobs covering your lens In the time it took to focus.
The water was rushing down stream so fast in the swollen Li river that our boat trip only took three hours instead of the usual four or five.
The little bridge to our hotel was flooded and our car had to divert via a back road, but an hour or so ago we found some Russian tourists contemplating walking across the churning muddy water in sandals. We were a bit shocked and suggested to them that it might be a tad dangerous. ' Oh the water flow is not so significant ' they said, we mentioned it to the hotel staff who ran out and stopped them.
