Seats of learning come in all forms...

A wonderful morning in Central Park, including unexpectedly delightful encounters with American Robins and woodpeckers. I hadn't realised it's one of the best birdwatching areas in the USA.

Then an afternoon in Harlem - lunch at the amazing Red Rooster, a wee visit to the world famous Apollo Theatre and finally an insiders tour of Columbia University. What a stunning campus - incredible.

Dinner was at Eataly at Flatiron - a fabulous Italian market/deli/store with at least four restaurants I could see plus a couple of bars. Loved it!
