The fally-down shed

I can't remember when it became clear that this shed had past the point of no return, but it has been called 'the fally-down shed' for a long, long time. It was one of the 3 original garden sheds. Ewan tacked the polythene over the roofing felt, so it must have seen in the new century here. And it was second hand when we got it.

The floor is partially slabbed. We used to keep the potatoes in a vermin proof box at the back. Phil made a close fitting mesh lid to keep them ventilated, and packed them in straw. The box later saw duty as the reservoir from where we pumped water when the spring dried up.

It has filled over the years, as sheds do, and I started pulling stuff out today. The fallen roof makes it difficult (and a bit disconcerting). The trailer is full for a run to the dump and the garage has a layer of "useful" stuff that needs to be sorted & put away.

There's still more to go, but it will have to wait.
