Benidorm 1325

8 May 1325 is believed to be the date when Benidorm was officially recognised as a town. The population was thought to be about 40 people!

Today, an enactment of the handing over of the documents, to officially recognise the town, took place near the Castle.

The painted backdrop shows the local mountain, of
Puig Campana, which stands at 1410 metres......making it higher than any point in Britain.

Traditionally, pupils from our school......including my son.....climbed to the top of Puig Campana.....a few weeks before sitting their final school exams!

I'm told, that on a clear day, you can see Ibiza from the summit.
