the old hollow oak

This wonderful old oak tree lives in the woods near to where we live. It's about 500 years old. Today it had burst into leaf and looked so bright green. The trunk is hollow and all sorts of wildlife live in there. Every year we wonder if it will leaf up again and every year it's a joy to see that it has.
