It's all change on the banks of the Mersey. The new bridge is now well underway, and the power station at Fiddlers Ferry has been decommissioned. No more photo opportunities of polluting smoke. Meanwhile on the St. Helens canal this old vessel is quietly slipping under the water, looking almost like a crocodile.
