A walk on the battlements......

.......at one of my favourite French towns - Montreuil sur mer. So typically French and yet only 50 miles from Calais.. We come here often for a couple of days to stock up on good wine and food and enjoy a couple of splendid meals in the town square.
Victor Hugo lived here for some time and wrote the book which Le miserables is based on. The battlements provided his inspiration for the story.
