Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

By NannaK

Blipmeet Extraordinaire!

What a day!  Absolutely gorgeous..could see every mountain in all directions.  We picked up PaulaJ and Highpike and showed them lots of Seattle.. Capital Hill, Volunteer Park, the Arboretum (well -a little bit) the University, including the library and the Burke museum before heading to the Space Needle for lunch.  They must have ordered this fantastic weather. It was the perfect day to be there.  Then a coffee stop, the Gates foundation and car tour through downtown, Pioneer Square, the SAM Sculpture Park and north, back to our house to collapse with a glass of wine before out for pizza etc in the neighborhood.  All the while talking talking.... what fun we 4 had.
Paula doesn't much like having her picture taken so I had to sneak a few--and I liked this one, not at any of those picturesque photo opportunities but at a nondescript little coffee shop near Seattle Center.  It's appropriate for Seattle I think and the fact that Paula likes her espresso so much and has had such trouble finding the good stuff...so here tis.. and the colors were jarring.. so BW, with Gordon in the back.  Added an extra with more coffee on the campus of the UW near Red Square and the library ( and Barnett Newman's broken column) and also just to prove we were up there at the top of the space needle after lunch, a view looking at Lake Union, with Mt. Baker to the north.  It was a LOVELY day in every way and I think they have lots of ideas for things to do here...(.Later I'll blip the fabulous felted purse Paula made for me.)   Hurray for blip!
