Wound up in Wexford

Wild aquilegia

This aquilegia was growing in the gravel by the front door last year - about the same place as the "purple plant" I blipped a few weeks ago.

I thought it might be wild columbine, so I rescued it, and transplanted it into the garden - W was very worried, he thought it was an oxalis (it didn't have any flowers at the time).

This year, it has rewarded us with some lovely delicate pinkish white flowers - so not plain ordinary columbine.  Not bad for a wild, self seeded, plant.  My contribution to #WildWed.

We have some much more blousy aquilegias elsewhere in the garden - they might get blipped another day.
