Weemo and I went to the Coffee Bothy in Menstrie today and, after a lovely lunch, we headed to the River Devon between Tillicoultry and Dollar to see if we could see the heron we spotted here a few weeks back. Unfortunately there was no heron but, as it was a lovely sunny afternoon, we enjoyed a stroll along the traffic free path. Then, on the way back, we spotted Ollie the Otter swimming about in the shallows of the river. We took some shots, clambered over a barbed wire fence and jumped over a small stream to try to get a better vantage point. As you can see, he is quite large and is keeping a close eye on us!
