Neighbours

I call Louie and I get half the district of sparrows and blackbirds coming over too... Now the sparrows live in troops (my own collective noun for them) but of course blackbirds are extremely territorial (as are robins) and so make a big fuss and chase each other away - and then the sparrows tease them pinching their worms right in front of them and the blackbirds then snap their beaks at the sparrows and Louie just perches above watching, with his own little stash of worms, all to himself - staying safe from the feeding, bullying frenzy!  Strangely enough, it's the most relaxing thing to do and watch and to photograph - every single bird a character and then the wrens join in too...! :) xx
