Blue Whale

I'm still here

I have a new dilemma: I am a night shifter, and so I only get about an hour of daylight in a day, which has left me with only sunsets to photograph for the last couple weeks. I am tiring of them. Of course, this is a great opportunity to learn more about night photography, which I know next to nothing about. My subjects to come will no doubt be streetlights and traffic. Does anyone have any suggestions, or tips that will make my experimenting go more smoothly? I know you need a tripod and a long exposure... but are there any tricks of the trade?
