Tower Bridge Welcomes the World

It was a lovely clear evening so we drove the 10 miles into London and parked up at St Katharines Dock for a walk to Tower Bridge to see the Olympic rings. They were in the 'up' position when we got there (perhaps a tall ship had just gone through?) but as darkness fell they were lowered into position. We managed to find a walkway where we could get a good view, so I set up my tripod for a long exposure shot of the river, the bridge and the Shard which was finished a few months ago.
