Jonty found a baby Sparrow

On this morning's walk we came across a very young Sparrow. Don't know if it had fallen out of a nest or what but it couldn't fly. It fluttered around a bit, especially when Jonty went to have a sniff at it, and then flapped it's way towards me. I picked it up after it hopped onto my hand but it jumped off again.
We guided it towards the edge of the path and left it in the undergrowth, hoping it's parent's would come to it's aid.
