Das Gewitter (The Storm)

It had been warm all week - 23°C to 25°C - and we were supposed to get a storm way back on Monday.  But they saved it up and let us have 2 today.  And they gave us 2 belters - we had thunder and lightning, incredible rain and hailstones the size of chick peas. 

There was an unfortunate outcome to this though, as our newly grass-seeded-should-be-a-lawn-sometime was completely washed away.  We'll have to start again.  Maybe we should just buy turf and do it that way.

Anyway, it's the start of a long weekend and after this week, I'm really looking forward to three days of not being in the office.  And three days of not being constantly asked questions (other than "Meow?" and "Where are you taking me for dinner tonight?")

It will be a joy.
