Looking up....

A gloriously bright, blue Manchester City sky and a contrast between two buildings. On the left is No1 St. Peter's Square, a swish new office block that has appeared on the square. I had reservations about it when it was announced but now I think it looks classy. I particularly like the curved façade along Oxford Street. A lot of thought has gone into the planning of this building.

On the right is the 1930s façade of the Odeon Cinema. It hasn't been used as a cinema in years and is looking increasingly sad and dilapidated. It does, however, sit on an expensive piece of land in a sought after part of one of the fastest growing cities in Europe. Its days are numbered and work will start soon to replace it with No3 St. Peter's Square. No2 is already under construction around the corner.

Extra picture is another view of the curve
