Horse chestnut candle

The horse chestnuts are now at their most glorious.  Met two little girls who had taken some blooms and asked them if they knew what tree it was.  They said a conker tree but had heard the name 'horse' chestnut  although they had never noticed the little horseshoes and nails that are the scar tissue made when a leaf falls in the autumn
