in pink! of course - there was supposed to be a 'twist' with our flowerfriday challenge today - hosted by 'bikerbear' - and originally i had every intention of - doing something to follow the 'twist' - but then... then - i happened to glance at my brand new fricken' orchid plant - which has like 4-5 buds on it - well much to my surprise and über delight - one of the buds had opened, people! - oh glory be, what could i do but grab the camera and start clicking away - the sheer thought of any flowerfriday 'twist' - went totally flying out the window

on my behalf, the only excuse i have to offer - is that this particular photo was taken off - the kitchen bar looking out the window - into the fabulous sunshine streaming in - you can also see the light beaming through the fresh new - pink petals - and glaring off some additional newbie buds - still waiting to open in the weeks to come - i am so excited that my babying of this precious plant - has so far kept it alive - 'course it's only been a bit over a week - so i am not holding my breath - but excitement is excitement after all - when it comes down to it - that's all that's necessary to make it...
