Hobbs's Run

Clinging On

I have called this image "Clinging On" - referring as I am to the forest of eucalypts atop this set of cliffs lining the southern wall of the Gross, near Blackheath. They almost seem in motion, teetering on the edge, apparently destined to topple, tripping over one another, headlong into the abyss. I rather liked the way that the departing sun seems to illuminate sections of the wall while leaving other parts in deep shadow.
