Filling up

Sorry this is so mundane but filling up with petrol here is quite neat. First of all, you don't have to do it yourself. I know, I know. (It does give a livelihood to a whole lot of people though.)

Secondly, petrol here is relatively cheap. I say relatively because other things cost a lot (rent, internet subscriptions etc). So, cheap fuel is a real bonus. We use to pay by the gallon, but moved over to litres a couple of years ago, and now I have completely lost track of how much fuel ACTUALLY costs, but I just know I pay A LOT less than when I am on holiday.

Oh, an anomalie: Diesel costs MUCH more than petrol! Go figure.
