On Reflection, a Great Day

The sun shone almost all day today, and it didn't rain, and I was like a kid in a candy shop with my camera - every moment was beautiful in a different way, but husband has chosen this one of the bus we came back from Évora on, parked in its usual place - which looks very precarious - a huge, unprotected drop behind - and seems even more so after experiencing the way the driver casually talked on his phone whilst weaving his way round corners, occasionally with both hands off the wheel. At least he went slowly.

More prosaically, washed - and it dried! - bedding, and did a bit of a spring clean, had some great chats with neighbours, and a wonderful lunch up at the market, from the broad beans we shelled on Thursday - Bia is a good cook.

And said husband went to a book launch and came back with a signed book for me - exciting...
