One daze at a time...

I like lichen

A much underrated growth.
Can't call it a plant. It's part fungus part algae.
Not demanding. It will grow anywhere, in the most exposed and desolate places. All it needs is a bit of rainwater from time to time and it will survive. If a seagull happens to defecate on it randomly, it will be its Christmas and New year and birthday all rolled into one and it will get its extra dose of nourishment from the unexpected gift fallen from the sky. It will not thrive. It will grow very very very slowly, almost unnoticed.
Unlike pension funds. These grow really fast. And collapse even faster.

There is a lot to be learnt from slow-evolving forms of life.
