Shere beauty

The village of Shere has been described as the prettiest village in Surrey, and with its collection of old cottages, a pretty church and the River Tillingbourne running through the middle, the ingredients are certainly there. The village was bypassed in the 1940s or 50s - there is no way the twisty streets could have coped with the modern volume of traffic. As it is, the square in the middle has cars parked against every available kerb which is very annoying for blippers! I parked on the edge of the village in the official car park and got my daily walk.
I had a browse in the gift shop and bought myself a fun watch for the summer.
