New Buoys

Seems to have been raining for more than 24 hours now. The church marquee, which was in a neighbouring garden for a wedding had to be taken down this morning. It poured the whole time and there is now the problem of trying to dry it off before its erected for another wedding next week. Still the hire of it brings in much needed money to the church coffers.

This afternoon was spent repairing the floor of a toilet at the Network Tearoom, which someone fell through last week. The floorboards were pretty rotten and the repair can only be temporary until we have sufficient funds to replace the whole floor.

Took a trip down to the harbour to check out the new moorings that have been put in place for yachters. The buoys are certainly brightly coloured and I thought I would play around with this blip of them and some foreground fishing gear to get a surreal and colourful effect. Certainly beats grey skys and dismal light!

Should have been delighted to see my Missed The Boat blip of a few days ago in The Herald. However, they have somehow managed to wash out all the colours from the original. Maybe they need new ink cartridges for their printer!!
