A New Butterfly for Tiny Tuesday

Apparently this is a female Chapman's blue on the larval hostplant, sainfoin, according to Guy Padfield our local butterfly expert. Very kind of it to crawl up into this morning's sunshine and pose for a photograph before flying free to find a mate (maybe the male I published last week).

The number of you who love our Alpine scenes and butterflies, seems to be increasing. Thank you for all your appreciation. It is easy to find good subjects where we live without being much of a photographer. It is a privilege to live here and share the Alps with you.

Thanks to Becket for hosting Tiny Tuesday.
