There may be trouble ahead...

These are Lily Beetles, Lilioceris lilii, about to make some more Lily Beetles, which is just not fair. Last year I discovered a pair in the garden, took some photographs and left them to it. Now I find eight of them, all copulating away on the remains of my Snake's-head Fritillaries. This just won't do! Don't they know I love beetles and gave their parents a chance last year? Now they are waging war on some of my favourite plants! I'm afraid they will be squished, even though I haven't yet got that perfect shot (still struggling with these macro shots in rather poor lighting conditions).
