Shoulder of Mutton

A fascinating day. Up at 5 to get the train down to Petersfield in Hampshire. A glorious sunny day. Heading for Bedales School, which has a very interesting history, and I spent the day exploring their geography work and looking at student work. Good food and conversation and a tour of the site. Day finished at 8, and went for a walk in the footsteps of Edward Thomas, first world war poet and landscape essayist... and then had a few pints of Doom Bar in the Cricketers Inn at Steep...
