Diary of an Edinburgher

Catch!

Anne came to take Archie out for the day about 10.30. It was a bit dreich, but they had a great time - a walk to Summerhall and had a cuppa, where he saw Rufus. Rufus' mum was then able to report to us that he was behaving well. Only let out one 'yip' on seeing his wee pal. I have spies everywhere, Archie! Then they had a big play around in the Meadows. Archie must love having someone who runs around and chases him for an hour or so.

I popped into Morningside to return a couple of unwanted clothing items JR had bought for me. And I got the next bus back. I don't hang around near shops! Well, not those kind of shops... I then took my time to do some housework and even mowed the lawns.

Anne kept Archie for the whole afternoon, they had a relaxing time in her flat after the morning's activities. He was snoozing on her lap, and so she couldn't move. Luckily, she had her laptop and phone handy and didn't actually mind.

When they came back we were able to sit out in the back garden in the weak sunshine (though fairly strong G&Ts) while Archie played with his ball - Anne chasing him as he pranced round her like a circus pony. He's pretty good at bringing the ball back too. And he's getting better at keeping his eye on it when it's up in the air.

He gets a bit annoyed when the neighbour's cat, Tinkerbelle, comes out, but he just has to get used to her. It's her garden too. And she can walk along the top of the wall! He could only look on jealously.
