Stalking Storks

Spent ages this afternoon, trying to get a good photo of the storks here beside the irrigation canal - not as easy as I'd thought; quite entertaining, though.

Both nests had two babies each, and we had to wait over half an hour for the other parent to come back each time; after which the returning one would regurgitate into the babies' beaks. All the while, other small birds were flying into and out of the nests, and swifts swooping about as well. We saw one baby lift his bum into the air and emit a stream of white stuff downwind - glad we weren't underneath - the posts are about 10 metres high - quite high, anyway.

These three photos are in sequence (and thanks to mishkid for the title).
