House martins!

I was very surprised and excited to see house martins starting to build a nest under the neighbour's eaves!

I hope they finish the job and stay there.

My extra is a very handsome rook we saw at the seaside, where Maisie was quite frightened of the splashes that were thrown up as the waves hit the groynes!
