Drizzle

I'm a bit the worse for wear this morning, but I need to get to Guildford for a meeting. The 45 minute walk through a damp London to Waterloo does a lot to restore my spirits.

After the meeting I jump a train to Gatwick, where I plug into the lounge WiFi and fill my body with food & drink. I doze on the plane home and then skim the Wall Street Journal that I'd picked up at the airport. In it was an opinion piece with this astounding quote: "Socialism is a mental poison that leads to human misery." I'm still shocked by that statement. It's certainly an opinion - just not one that I have any sympathy for.

Back home I indulge in a rerun of Smiley's People and pass out content.
