River of Flowers

Tuesday : Aquilegia

Another pleasant day of gardening.
MrD went for a motorbike ride to Manchester.
Forecast is for rain this evening so I frantically tried to tidy a bit more of the long garden and planted out some dianthus, penstemon, artemisia, Jacob's ladder, heuchera and cosmos.
Rain arrived late afternoon and continued all night - soil had been very dry.
Lots of interesting aquilegia in flower at the moment, they may have been left overs from last year's plant sale - along with foxgloves, which are also close to flowering.
