Scattering Seeds in No Man's Land

Part of the Southside Festival and the "Digging In" Project in Pollok Park.

The recreated WW1 British and German trenches were open this afternoon. An excellent talk about life in the trenches by Dr Tony Pollard, interspersed with war poems linked to themes in the talk.

After viewing both trenches, we were all invited to scatter poppy and blue cornflower seeds around No Man's Land. It will be interesting to see how long it takes for the flowers to start appearing.

The trench system will develop over the next two years, events every 6-8 weeks. Worth a visit.
