Red-tailed bumblebee on purple tansy

Edited: I asked if anyone could ID this plant for me, and Inge came up with the name - thanks Inge!
Edited again: and then Jill, who was there when this was taken, ID-ed the bee for me. It's a Bombus lapidarius, the red-tailed bumblebee - thanks Jill!

I met up with Emma Davies (of A Year With My Camera), Jill and Helena for a photomeet at Stourhead today. It was great fun and the weather was kind.

I took along my Sigma 70-300 Macro lens, as I rarely use it. I had no trouble putting it onto the macro setting. Getting it off macro was something else though - I took a lot of macro photos today!
