Late

About 500 years too late. Or perhaps just a few minutes late for the start of his tour.

This morning, before doing my own tour, I was lucky enough to be taken on a tour of the roof space at Speke Hall. Our guide George explained how the building had been put together although much of it is conjecture. We got to look down into the priest hole and the place that the eavesdroppers listened from.
