Maybe today

Spent the day around London trying to find houses where my great grandparents have lived. Not a great success but did find this house where my G Grandfather was butler to Architect John Loughborough Pearson.

The mews house he lived in as a younger man no longer stands (although the neighbouring houses are still there). I did a check World War II bomb census (http://bombsight.org) and saw that the house had indeed been bombed in the war...the building now standing in it's place is the German Embassy!
