A bit of fluff

Semiaquilegia ecalcarata, captured blowing wildly in the wind which has also blown a fluffy seed to be caught in the flower's slightly sticky hairs.

This plant is a tiny relative of Aquilegia, Columbine or Granny's Bonnets as they are often called.  This one, a self sown seedling growing outside in one of my raised beds, is just a few inches high.

A curious day, much of it spent at the middle school our girls used to attend where Ruth had  a craft stall at their summer fair.  Packing for our trip tomorrow is now overdue!
