Shoot

Another fine basket by LR, with the opposition reeling with shock at the beating they were taking.  Sadly, at today's basketball tournament, our team took their eye - quite literally - off the ball in the first 2 minutes of their match against the only team that comes close to them (as in that team came second to ours in the league) and that was enough to lose them the match, and therefore the cup.  But there are 3 more tournaments to go, so all is not lost.  

That, of course, makes three more days spent in the burning hot sun with no shade.  Today was the latest 'hottest day of the year so far' with temperatures well into the 30s.  Too much.  Happily, the car seems to have got over its hissy fit yesterday and did not overheat (though as the car doesn't have aircon, we all overheated.  I wonder if that's a consequence of global warming, that cars now all have - pretty much - aircon, but our 1992 model has none.)

After a slightly stressful few hours where I was left in charge of the team as the coach needed to leave early, it was with great relief that I found them all lifts home in normal modern cars, so we could roll home in our heap.

Relaxing on the terrace followed, then lazy pizza dinner and Batman.

Tomorrow I will do approximately nothing. (And it's going to rain, so I won't even have to water the garden.)
