Fountain at Meknes

Stopped on the way from Fez to Agadir at Meknes. Despite being beleaguered by numerous restauranteurs on our way across the main square, we managed to do some shopping (pastries and Roh Bon sunglasses) and have the nicest orange juice of our lives so far. Squeezed fresh from oranges picked on the cafe's roof. Here's S by a typically intricate fountain, which atypically had bits of dead snake in it. The fountain doesn't run, which apparently means that everyone in the neighborhood has taps with drinking water. Hurray!

Bye Barbara

p.s. There were mountains of olives at £1.50 per kilo. OMNOMNOM
