Family

Well, yesterday's day out with the wonderful Nick seemed to go down well - we've certainly discovered plenty more about Yorkshire than we knew before with the snippets that have been recalled over the last 24 hours!

Last night, we finished off the evening with a most remarkable film called Life is Beautiful.  It has to be the biggest film of contrasts I have ever seen.  We nearly turned it off, laughing a few times but not really being sure where it was going.  We were all glad we didn't.

Today, we had a leisurely start before heading over to Hebden Bridge. We've been remarkably lucky, arriving in a downpour.  The tap switched off as we got out of the car, it threw it down over lunch (we were squeezed under a canopy outside) and we enjoyed a long walk around the woods at Hardcastle Crags in the sunshine.  When we arrived back to Gibson Mill, we stopped for coffee and cake and the heavens opened again before walking back in the sunshine and finding a huge, black, wet cloud on our doorstep at home.

Thank you Yorkshire!

It's been a fabulous family day of easy chatting and very good company.
