Blipmeet!

We hadn't expected it when we arranged our house-swap, but we managed to fit a blipmeet into our schedule, with guiri and F -- a lovely surprise! We met in a bar in Almuñecar, and the time flew by over glasses of tinto de verano and many tapas of different types of fried fish -- enough to constitute lunch. As usual at blipmeets, I failed to take any photos, but luckily guiri has posted F's photo of us. Strangely enough, guiri and I have both separately had blipmeets with Bundle and Arachne -- me in Oxford, she in Granada.  All part of the web of connections created by Blipfoto.

Before we knew it, it was 4 p.m., and we said our goodbyes. S and I headed off to an ice cream shop recommended by guiri and F, and can vouch for their good taste -- it was really excellent. We had a stroll along the beach, where the chiringuitos were buzzing, and then headed back home to do some lounging on the patio.

As it's our wedding anniversary, we felt justified in popping out to Salobreña in the early evening for yet more bar-hopping. Our order of glasses of cava prompted a rather unusual free tapa -- sliced strawberries on a bed of lettuce. It may sound odd, but was actually very nice and went well with the cava. Our second drink came with more conventional pinchos morunos and chips. We hardly needed dinner afterwards. Another lovely warm evening, so more patio lounging with wine, cheese, and membrillo followed. A lazy but satisfying day.

Yesterday is backblipped.
