Late-morning walk

Late start today after a (predictably) broken night's sleep, plagued by nightmares. Even Louie slept in!

Lovely late-morning walk with MrM and Louie on Weetwood Moor - warm and sunny for the most part. The blip shows the view of Hedgehope Hill (left) and the Cheviot as we walked back down towards the car.

One of those evenings! After walking Louie on the Common, MrM and I left him behind and set out on another, longer round walk from the Common, as the sun was going down. While I don't mind cows on the other side of a fence, I feel quite panicky about walking on footpaths through fields of cows - and MrM got quite annoyed with me. Then, as we stopped to eat our picnic, thunder started rumbling around as dark clouds gathered. So we made our way back to the car - got there as the rain started. Just as well really, as MrM hadn't taken a waterproof!

Beautiful, bright rainbow over Wooler as we drove home - maybe it was a good omen?!
