Freshman Encounter

Kate and I are not morning people, and for the first time since school ended, we had to get up before 6 this morning. Ugh!

She was heading of on a two-day "Freshman Encounter", a team-building and adventure trip. I'm quite proud of her as she will be ziplining, caving and mountain-climbing. Not bad for someone with claustrophobia and a fear of heights.

I had my own little adventure. She drove the car to UMBC and I drove it back... on the Interstate..... first time I've driven on that in 20 years! It'll probably be another 20 years before I do it again!
