Workmanship

We had a leak.

We called a plumber.

He said, "I can't get to the leak. Call a carpenter." And he charged us $190.
Called the carpenter.

After six hours and taking everything apart that he could without taking down drywall, he finally took down all tiling and dry wall in bathroom.

We found the leak. In the drain pipe from the kitchen sink.

Who knows when, but a cable TV guy had drilled two holes and threaded the TV cable through the sink drain pipe.

In fact, by looking at the pipe, the cable guy had taken several stabs at drilling holes for the cable.

Called the plumber back.

It took two of them this time to repair it at who-knows-what per hour.

Leak is fixed. Bathroom has since been completely demolished and is down to the studs. (As of July)

Ah! the joys of home ownership!
