Half-birthday cake

made from slabs of watermelon, iced with cream and decorated with berries, by his mum to mark Freddie reaching six months old today. 
He enjoyed tucking in (extra pic), and also the visit from his Aunty Carly and his big cousin. The boy was really chuffed to be asked to be Freddie's godfather.

In other news I spent the morning up on the cliffs sowing the bee meadow by hand. I had just finished when first one and then another hare raced by me, the second so close to me I could feel the breath of displaced air as it passed.  I watched them for a while speeding off across the pasture. Magic.
