Celebrations

It's always fun to get together with friends, old and new, to celebrate. Tonight's main attraction was to celebrate Erin's birthday which happens to be on Monday. However, our good friend Danny's birthday is the day after. Thus, we always celebrate them together. This year there were a few other significant reasons to celebrate. One, our company president finally retired effective 30 April after 42 years of service. More importantly to us, I was selected as one of only 20 OTS employees to the Decathlon II program. These 20 individuals are selected from the 300 top performers, HIPOTS or High Potentials, across our company of 5000 employees. Looking back at the original Decathlon group yields several VPs as well as folks the moves on to high ranking positions across industry. For many reasons, tonight was a good night to have a celebratory cigar. Cheers!
